THE ANT

A STRAIGHT TALK

THE ANT

Hi friends,

Do you know there are four creatures which are little on the earth but are exceedingly wise? We will be taking a look at each of them; the ants, the rock badgers, the locusts and the spider (prov 30: 24- 28).

The ants are a group of small, tiny creatures not strong but have ability to make and sustain a living. An ant prepares its food in the summer when the sun is hot and the days are long. The ants though have no teacher, ruler or captain, but are self motivated, goal oriented. No personal mentor, an ant accepts responsibility for meeting her own needs. The ant understands time, which is an important factor in the life of any living creature. She knows the difference between the time of scarcity and the time of plenty and can equally differentiate between day and night. An ant knows when to work and when to sleep. They possess some attributes which differentiates them from all other creatures. The ants are agile and not slack (they are hardworking). They have a sense of direction i.e an ant knows what to do per time and is driven by it. Ants are found every where; they are properly positioned and are always in order. An ant when not lifting, is carrying or delivering. They stay focused to fulfilling or achieving a set of goal. They live and work together in a colony (community), helping each other. In a simple word, they are united. The ants are good managers; they prudently manage their resources in order not to lack in time of scarcity, they prepare for now and future because, they have store houses i.e they know what their future is. If ants, as small and unrecognized as they are know their future and are purposeful, you have no excuse O man! Do you have a future, let alone knowing it? Dear friend, it is worth it for you to be provoked to set on a journey today as you discover your God given purpose and setting goals in achieving them. God has mandated it that man should be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and have dominion. And this mandate cannot be fulfilled, if you are yet to discover your reason for being on the planet earth. To live a without a purpose, is to live an unproductive and unfulfilling life. Friends, you need to take a time out to critically consider all these about the ant. Catch you in the next edition as we learn more from other living creatures.
